Undergraduate Research and Experiential Learning

Over 35% of students at SMSU participate in research and hands-on learning, allowing them to creatively collaborate, learn to exchange professional ideas, and enhance their overall development. One of the goals at SMSU is to provide even more experiential learning opportunities in all areas of study. To support these efforts, this fund is designated for SMSU’s new undergraduate research and travel initiative. Each year undergraduate students can apply for funding to support their ongoing research or travel to present at professional conferences. These opportunities give SMSU graduates real-world experience that will help them find success after graduation.
